Who Is Responsible for Your Data

Appgrow, MB is the data controller for PetPing. Our registration code is 306730105 and our address is Girulių g. 14-201, LT-12112 Vilnius, Lithuania.

Information PetPing Handles

• Account data: Firebase user ID, email address, display name, and sign-in provider details when you create an account or use Sign in with Apple.
• Pet care data: pet profiles, photos, reminders, notes, weights, calendar items, routines, and other information you choose to enter.
• Subscription data: product identifiers, purchase and renewal status, entitlement status, and related transaction metadata. PetPing does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Device and app data: device model, operating system, app version, IP address, device or installation identifiers, crash reports, diagnostic data, and app events such as onboarding, feature, paywall, and purchase interactions.
• Notification data: reminder schedules and notification preferences used to deliver alerts you enable.
• Contact data: your name, reply email, message, and limited technical information used to prevent abuse when you submit the contact form.

We receive information directly from you, automatically from the app and device, and from Apple and the service providers described below.

Why We Use Information

We process information only when we have a legal basis:

• To perform our contract with you: provide app features, accounts, cloud sync, reminders, subscriptions, purchase restoration, and support.
• With your consent: send notifications and, where required, permit advertising attribution or tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency controls. You can withdraw consent in iOS Settings.
• For legitimate interests: secure PetPing, prevent abuse, diagnose crashes, measure app performance, understand feature use, and improve the service, provided those interests do not override your rights.
• To meet legal obligations: keep records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and lawful requests.

Cloud Sync and Local Data

You can use PetPing in guest mode, where pet care data is stored on your device. If you sign in or use cloud sync, PetPing stores account and pet care data in Firebase so it can be backed up and synchronized across your devices.

Some preferences and notification schedules remain in local iOS storage.

App Analytics and Tracking

The PetPing website does not use analytics, advertising, or preference cookies.

The iOS app uses software development kits rather than browser cookies. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect app events, identifiers, diagnostics, and crash information. Meta App Events may receive device identifiers and events such as app activation, onboarding completion, paywall views, checkout initiation, and purchases for advertising attribution and measurement. Superwall receives paywall and subscription-related events. RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement information.

Where iOS requires permission, access to the advertising identifier and cross-company tracking depends on your App Tracking Transparency choice. You can review or change that choice in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Service Providers and Disclosures

We disclose limited information to providers that operate PetPing:

• Google Firebase: authentication, cloud database, file storage, analytics, crash reporting, messaging infrastructure, and app integrity checks.
• RevenueCat: subscription management, transaction metadata, attribution data, and entitlement syncing.
• Meta: app event measurement, advertising attribution, and related analytics.
• Superwall: paywall presentation, experiments, and paywall analytics.
• Apple: App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple, notifications, and device privacy controls.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect PetPing or its users, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing app events or identifiers with Meta for advertising measurement may be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under some US state laws. You can limit this through Apple's tracking setting and can submit a privacy request through our contact form.

Retention and Deletion

We keep account and cloud content while your account is active and for only as long afterward as needed to complete deletion, protect the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or remove the app. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer and document the request.

You can delete your account in PetPing settings. This starts deletion of cloud account data associated with your PetPing account and clears local app data after the process completes. Apple, RevenueCat, Meta, Google, or other providers may retain transaction, security, analytics, or legal records under their own retention rules.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or provide a portable copy of your personal data; object to processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a privacy-request decision. You will not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.

• You can edit or delete pets, reminders, notes, and other pet care content in the app.
• You can enable or disable notifications in PetPing settings and iOS Settings.
• You can deny or change tracking permission in iOS Settings.
• You can use guest mode without creating a cloud account.
• You can request account deletion from the app settings.
• You can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Submit other privacy requests through the contact form. We may need to verify that the request relates to you. EEA users may also complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate or their local supervisory authority.

Children's Privacy

PetPing is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Where local law requires a higher age for a person to consent to data processing, PetPing should be used only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Transfers

Our providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers from the EEA use recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You can contact us for more information about applicable safeguards.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app or on this website.
